Shahada: First Pillar of Islam

1) The Testimony of Faith (Shahada):

Shahada is the declaration of faith and trust, i.e. the professing that there is only one God (Allah) and that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is Allah's messenger. It is having faith that only Allah have to be worshipped and He is alone the Creator and Sustainer of whatever  exists…
 The statement normally recited in Arabic is:
 “La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammadur rasoolu Allah.”

Translation:  “I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad is Messenger (Prophet) of Allah”
